Outdoor Field Rules

Rules specific to the seven outdoor fields, including surface care and weather calls.

The Three We Get Asked Most

Footwear

Molded plastic or rubber cleats up to 1/4 inch. No metal spikes on turf or grass.

Weather

Play stops on lightning and resumes 30 minutes after the last strike. Check the schedule before travelling.

Pets

The pet-free policy covers the outdoor complex and the parking areas.

Footwear

Molded plastic or rubber cleats up to 1/4 inch are permitted on both the FieldTurf and the natural grass fields. Metal spikes are not allowed on either surface.

Weather and Cancellations

Play stops on lightning and resumes no sooner than thirty minutes after the last strike. Grass fields may close after heavy rain to protect the surface.

Check the schedule page before you travel
Cancellations are posted there first
Indoor space may be offered as a backup where available

Surface Care

Nothing is staked, dug or dragged into a field. Tents, goals and equipment are placed by FSA staff. Chewing gum, sunflower seeds and food are not permitted on the playing surfaces.

Lighting and Evening Play

High-performance lighting runs on fields 5, 6, 7 and 8 for evening sessions. Unlit fields close at dusk.

Spectators and Parking

Bleacher seating is available on fields 6, 7 and 8; other fields are sideline standing. Park in marked areas only and keep the access lanes clear for emergency vehicles.
